My Approach to Therapy

Authentic communication and connection with others nourishes our essence. Being in tune with out deeper self helps us stay centered; feeling sure and confident of who we are. At times our head my spin from anxiety-provoking events or situations. We can learn to cop and self-regulate by getting in touch with our self in new ways. Nourishing our essence gives us a solid sense of self-worth, helping us feel safe and secure in the universe and allowing us to take ownership of our journey through life. Whether dealing with addiction, depression, anxiety, or relationships, we can learn to live in the solution.
When appropriate I help clients find spiritual solutions to what is troubling them. I primarily work from Rogerian, client-centered, and psychodynamic orientations; however. I also incorporate Brainspotting, cognitive-behavioral, systems, and existential approaches to therapy on an as-needed basis. I have a life-time of experience with addiction and specializing in treating individuals and families who are suffering from its effects.
